Tamati Ellison is a rugby union player who has played rugby across all forms of the union code.

He was chosen as one of four new caps for the New Zealand 2009 end of year tour to Europe. As well as New Zealand, U20's and the New Zealand Maori, he played for the New Zealand Sevens and was a part of the New Zealand Sevens team that won a gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

In this episode, Tamati shares:

  • What it's like to grow up in a low socio-economic environment and gather information and create the Kiwi dream

  • Tamati's experiences with legendary Kiwi 7's coach Gordon Tietjens through to working with coaches Graham Henry and Steve Hansen

  • How to incorporate gratitude into your everyday life as a player and professional

  • How to make learning a lifelong priority

This episode is one of the best we've had in terms of balancing a world-class playing career with what it takes to be a world-class learner and human being.

Tamati's story, gratitude and willingness to learn is second to none so make sure you look for the nuggets in this episode in how you can take Tamati's knowledge and apply it to your own life.
